I create an unique
depiction of eccentric perspectives and objectivity by drawing
subjects using pencil, charcoal, or pastels. Sketches are
usually portraits of individual patrons for their own
collection. I often use watercolor pencils and washes of color
to produce sketches on a small level or large to show gesture
and posture. As a sketch artist I find the figure's weight and
balance, along with enhancing the poetry of light, shade and
seating position. Often I can capture their stillness into my
work through profile sketches. I love the way art forms vision
over time. In the early 1990's I mastered shading, perspective,
light and color to produce realistic scenes or abstractions
while I studied in art school. I developed techniques such as
cross-hatching, color hue/temperature and line weight. Graduated
in the class of 1996 from New England School of Art &
Design/Suffolk University as a Fine Artist/Illustrator; I create
pictures for books, magazines, commercial products, textiles,
wrapping paper, stationary, greeting cards and calendars. I
combine detailed drawing skills to accentuate the human anatomy,
facial expressions, animal's portraits, landscapes and
still-lives. I create work and illustrations in a professional
and neat manner for publications and audiovisual presentations
for teaching purposes or entertainment.
