A long established Bay Area
photographer, the name of my website says it best as I continue
to explore and celebrate, "The Joy of Light." My love of
photography started while on vacation with my family at the age
of eight. I took over the use of my dad's two Kodak cameras and
everyone that saw the pictures I'd taken on that trip were
impressed. By age 14 I had a darkroom in the basement. I was
shooting weddings professionally while still in high school. I
studied photography, art, and design, at the College of Marin
and at San Francisco State University. My love and fascination
with creating images continues to grow and expand. I'm drawn to
a wide variety of subjects and have a broad portfolio of images.
Presently, I've been drawn to working with models and coaching
them on their career development. This includes building their
portfolios, defining their focus, and managing their
assignments, as their needs dictate. I love working with people
and collaborating with them in developing ideas and views.
Recently my work has expanded into artistic and abstract
renderings. I also enjoy fine art nude studies, especially
outdoors projects. I invite anyone interested in my work or in
